About
Dr. Cheepsattayakorn is a distinguished Thai physician with expertise in Pulmonary Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Immunology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, in 1986 and later completed advanced training in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, and Radiology at the same institution. Renowned for his contributions to medical science, he has authored nearly 260 publications, including a textbook on COVID-19, and has made significant advancements in immunological responses to respiratory infections and tuberculosis.
He has been honored with prestigious Fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Physicians (Edinburgh, London, Thailand, and Glasgow), the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Chest Physicians. In recognition of his academic excellence, he received the Gold Medal Award from Chiang Mai University Medical School in 2019. Dr. Cheepsattayakorn has held key leadership roles, including Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at the 10th Zonal Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases Center, and Senior Expert (Level 11) at Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health.
He serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for various international journals and was appointed as JICA Advisor (2021–2022). He is also a Member of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), reflecting his global impact in health and immunology.
