About
Dr. Adel Hamidi is a distinguished microbiologist and biotechnology expert with over 16 years of experience at the Razi Institute of Vaccine and Serum Research in Arak, Iran. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology, with his doctoral research focused on the design and evaluation of an innovative vaccine candidate against H5N1 influenza. His work combined the M2e segment with CD4+ and CD8+ T cell epitopes and STING agonists as molecular adjuvants, compared with traditional vaccine approaches. He also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Microbiology, with his master’s thesis exploring the neutralization potential of Aflatoxin B1 by lactic acid bacteria.
Dr. Hamidi is highly skilled in microbiological and molecular techniques, including bacterial and fungal culture, viral diagnostics using PCR and RT-PCR, ELISA-based immunodiagnostics, and antibiotic sensitivity testing. He has played a key role in the production of animal vaccines and snake anti-venom immunoglobulins. His expertise also spans laboratory SOP development, microbial quality control, and the preparation of biological materials for research and diagnostic use.
With a strong passion for microorganisms and their application in medicine, veterinary science, and industry, Dr. Hamidi has also contributed as an educator in university microbiology labs, fostering the next generation of scientific talent.
