Kenan Karavdić was born on May 10, 1965 in Sarajevo. Currently employed at the Clinic for Pediatric Surgery of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo as head of General pediatric surgery. He finished primary and secondary school in Sarajevo. He graduated in 1991 from the Medical Faculty of the University of Sarajevo. He specialized in pediatric surgery in 1999 in Sarajevo, received his master’s degree in 2007 at the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo with the topic: “Advantages of early tangential necrectomy in extensive burns in children”, defended his doctoral thesis at the Medical Faculty of the University of Sarajevo entitled “Comparison of the efficacy”. and safety of treatment of residual pericystic cavity by the “no closure” method without the treatment of communicating bronchus with respect to classical surgical treatment of echinococcosis in children “2014. He authored many scientific publications and serves as Editor and Reviewer of several international Journals.
