Dr. T. Kumaran is an accomplished Associate Professor at Muslim Arts College, Thiruvithancode, with over 14 years of teaching and 10 years of research experience in the field of Zoology. Since March 2011, he has been instrumental in educating undergraduate and postgraduate students, nurturing academic excellence and research aptitude. A recognized Ph.D. supervisor at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Dr. Kumaran has guided several scholars in advanced zoological research, particularly in marine biotechnology and fish pathology.

His technical expertise spans a wide range of applied zoological and microbiological methods, including DNA amplification, protein structure prediction, ELISA, chromatography, immunological techniques, and advanced aquaculture practices such as shrimp hatchery and pond management. He is especially noted for his work on WSSV pathogenesis, vaccine development with adjuvants, and the use of immunostimulants in shrimp.

Dr. Kumaran’s research interests include microbial technology, pharmacology, biomedicine, and Artemia phylogeny. His innovative approaches in IgY technology and bioencapsulation have contributed significantly to sustainable aquaculture and disease control. His dedication to both teaching and research underscores his contribution to the advancement of zoological sciences in India.
