About
Dr. Hazim Abdul Rahman Alhiti is a skilled General Surgeon with a strong academic and clinical background, and a growing interest in immunological aspects of surgical care. He earned his Higher Diploma in General Surgery from Tikrit Medical College in 2013, followed by an MD in General Surgery from Baghdad, Mosul in 2016. Since 2017, he has been serving as a General Surgeon Specialist at Hit (Heet) General Hospital, Iraq.
Throughout his career, Dr. Alhiti has served at prominent hospitals including Arrmadi, Al-Jumhoori, and Al-Furat teaching hospitals, gaining vast experience in surgical procedures and patient management. His work often intersects with immunological challenges, particularly in managing post-operative infections, diabetic foot complications, and critical care—areas where immunological responses play a key role.
Certified by Publons and Elsevier Researcher Academy, Dr. Alhiti is actively involved in academic publishing, having authored six articles and a book titled “Critical Nursing Care in Surgery and Medicine” (2021), with another, “Diabetic Foot”, forthcoming. He is a frequent invited lecturer and serves as an editor and reviewer for several medical journals, reflecting his contributions to the evolving dialogue between surgery and immunological science.
