Brain Pathology and Oncology Research
Brain pathology is a study of diseases and injuries that affect the brain, such as tumors, strokes or trauma. This also look for the causes of these conditions, how they developand bring change in brain cells, and the symptoms generated by them.
In this context, oncology focuses on the brain and spinal tumors. Many of these tumors, such as glioblastoma, astrocytoma and brainstem tumors, are very severe and can be life threatening. The purpose of research in brain oncology is to better understand this cancer and develop effective treatment to improve the quality of life.
