Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Biochemistry and molecular biology are basic sciences that explore life on their smallest levels. Biochemistry studies the chemistry of living systems – checking how complex molecules work and interact in biological processes. Biochemists recognize these molecules, make and study how life works and what causes diseases. Molecular biology focuses on genes, proteins and other micro components, explaining how they control each other and regulate the development of organisms. The combination of both regions allows scientists to understand how life is created and maintained. This knowledge is not only academic – it has been applied in medicine, agriculture and biotechnology, leading to medical success and innovations that shapes how we see and treat living organisms.
