brain circuitry

The brain circuitry explains how many parts of our brain work together to control everything from movement and feelings to thinking and memory. The brain is filled with billions of neurons and trillions of connections, which is associated with supportive cells and untouched fibers called Myelinated axons. These components form complex networks – called circuits – which transmit signals through different brain areas. The left and right halves of the brain are specialized in various functions, such as logic or creativity, but they are tightly attached. Cortex and thalamus create a layered structure where sensory and cognitive information is shared and processed. By studying these pathways, the purpose of researchers aim to understand how the brain handles complex functions and what happens, when things go wrong, we help to uncover the secrets of our brain function.
