Brain Imaging and Stimulation: Brain imaging and stimulation include using specialized equipment to study the structure and activity of the brain and nervous system. These methods help scientists and doctors to see how the brain looks in both healthy and diseased states and how it works. Stimulation technique, which can be aggressive or non-invasive, is used to activate or change brain activity to study or treat brain disorders.
Common techniques include: Electroencephalography (EEG), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
