The Clinical and Basic Aspects of Neuro-Ophthalmology pulls clinical practice and basic science in a particular field where neurology meets ophthalmology. Clinically, this discipline addresses issues such as double vision, eyelid twitching, eye loss, and metabolic disorders, inflammation, glaucoma, tumors and other causes affecting visual functions. It diagnoses and treats both anterior eye structures and nerve components that control eye movements and visual reflexes. From the perspective of a basic science, it examines the nervous routes of vision, eye movement, oculomotor dysfunction, adjustment cramps and underlying diplopia. This session emphasizes that integrating molecular and clinical insight with systems leads to a deep understanding of neuroscience ophthalmic health and indicates more effective clinical and therapeutic strategies in neuro- Ophthalmology disorders.
