Comparative Psychology
Comparative psychology sessions examine behavior in various species and cultures to uncover how evolution, environment and genetics affect actions and thinking. Researchers compare primates, humans and other animals, how to understand instinct, learning and personal experience shape behavior. This includes the discovery of cognitive skills and communication patterns in the species. The session also exposes human cultural differences, showing how traditions, geography and economics are behaved between different groups. By studying animals and diverse human populations simultaneously, the session reveals the hidden insight about aggression, social interaction and origin of behavior. These findings can guide programs and interventions that support positive results and better mental health. Overall, it examines the roots of behavior by examining both our animal counterparts and ourselves.
