Connectomics Conference
Home/ Scientific Sessions / Connectomics Conference
Connectomics is the exciting area of neurosciences that focus on mapping complex wiring of the brain – “Connectome.” Scientists use advanced imaging tools, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), nerve routes and map both brain network and small circuits. By integrating powerful computational models and genomic data, researchers are creating a large -scale database that adds and communicates. This rich mapping helps us understand how the brain develops, adapted over time, and responds to environmental effects – while aging provides new insight into aging, mental illnesses, and neurodegenerative disorders. Ultimately, connectomics have the ability to change our understanding, diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases such as epilepsy, autism, and Parkinson, which paves the way for millions of people to restore normal brain function.
