Human Brain
The human brain is the headquarters of the body, which is responsible for thoughts, feelings, memory and movement. It weighs about 1.4 kg and has about 86 billion neurons in contact with each other through electrical and chemical messages. The brain is placed in the skull and cushioned by cerebrospinal fluid. The brain is divided into areas with various functions. Cerebrum is responsible for high-order processes such as arguments, problems and voluntary movement. The cerebellum controls balance and coordination, and brainstem controls vital processes such as breathing, heart rate and sleep. Different lobes of the brain—frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital—regulate activities from decision-making to vision and speech.The brain is also regulated by the spinal cord to create a central nervous system. Overall, the human brain decides intelligence, behavior and personality.
