Magnetoencephalography Conference

Home/ Scientific Sessions / Magnetoencephalography Conference

Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a safe and non-invasive method for measuring brain electrical activity. It uses extremely sensitive detectors to record small magnetic fields created by brain currents without incorporating anything in the body. Doctors and scientists use MEG to find out where brain signals arise and how they travel. It helps in diagnosing neurological and psychiatric conditions such as epilepsy, Alzheimer’s and Autism. MEG also looks at the researchers on how the brain system works during thought, movement, learning, memory and language. Modern progress, including powerful computer-based signal processing, allows MEG to capture and analyze brain activity with high precision. This helps not only to understand the function of the brain, but also to evaluate how the treatment affects the brain and for tailoring more personalized care strategies.
