Molecular Genetics and Neurobiology Conference

Home/ Scientific Sessions / Molecular Genetics and Neurobiology Conference

Molecular genetics are the study of genes and they control the way our body functions, including the brain and nervous system. This helps us understand how some brain diseases are passed in families and how changes in genes can affect brain function and behavior. It includes:

  • behavioural genetics
  • classical genetics
  • cytogenetics
  • molecular genetics
  • developmental genetics
  • population genetics

Neurobiology is a study of how the brain and veins work. It sees how brain cells communicate, how we think and feel, and what happens when the brain is damaged or affected by the disease. Together, molecular genetics and neurobiology help scientists find the causes of brain disorders and develop new treatment.

Types

  • Neurophysiology.
  • Neuroanatomy.
  • Neuropharmacology
