Molecular Neuroscience

Molecular Neuroscience uncover the molecular foundation of brain function and neurological disorders by discovering the roles of protein, RNA, lipids, ions channels, receptors and intracellular signalling. Researchers examine how these molecules affect synaptic transmission, neural growth and plasticity, and how genetic mutations and environmental factors interact at molecular levels. The field is important in understanding neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis and ALS, as well as to develop novel biomarkers and individual therapeutic targets. By bridging molecular biology with neurology, this session brightens the routes from cellular mechanisms to system-level results- unlocking deeper insights into brain health and advancing precision treatments for neurological conditions.
