Motor Neuron Diseases
Motor neuron disease (MND) is a group of severe brain and nerve disorders that gently damage the muscles speeding nerve cells. These nerve cells help us walk, talk, breathe and move. As MND moves progresses, lead complete muscle weakness, hardness and sometimes paralysis. General types include ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), primary lateral sclerosis (PLS), progressive bulb pulsi (PBP), and hereditary motor neuron disorders. The reasons are not always known, but genetics, infection, or contact can play a role for harmful substances. Symptoms usually begin in a part of the body and spread over time. While there is no cure, treatment with drugs, treatment and support equipment can improve comfort and slow down the progression of the disease. Early diagnosis helps patients live better and long life.
