Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery is a specialty focusing on preventing, diagnosing, surgically treating, and rehabilitating conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and cerebrovascular system. Treatment options include traditional open surgery to minimal invasive techniques, such as spinal-cord stimulation and a broad spectrum from stereotactic radiosurgery. These approaches target brain disorders such as brain tumors, skull fractures, spinal injuries, and cerebral aneurysm. The purpose of neurosurgery is to relieve pain and restore the task by navigating complex nerve anatomy, using precise equipment and real -time imaging. Postoperative care often involves rehabilitation to support imaging follow-ups, monitoring and recovery. This session outlines the required role of surgical intervention in broader neurological care and highlights how advanced surgical strategies are complementary to other remedies to customize the outcome of the patient care.
