Neurosurgical processes
Neurosurgical processes are focused on surgery that treats the brain, spinal cord and nerves disorders. These involve removing the tumors – whether it is open or minimal invasive – sometimes to shrink them before chemotherapy or radiation. Surgeons also perform hemorrhage clearance to remove bleeding, stereotypic (stereotactic) surgery to target precise brain areas, and deep brain stimulation to reduce movement issues. For spinal problems such as herniated discs or fractures, processes such as decompression relieve pressure on nerves, while fusion surgery stabilizes the spine. In neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson, surgical methods such as deep brain stimulation or delivering drugs directly into the brain are used to improve the quality of life. These processes are highly complex and require specialist skills to ensure effective and safe treatment.
