Prion Diseases
Prion Disease: Prion disease are rare but malignant brain disorders that affect both humans and animals. They are caused by abnormal proteins that are formed in the brain, which produce in the brain, causing severe damage and eventually death. In humans, the most common type is Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, which causes memory loss, behavioral changes, vision problems and trouble walking. As it deteriorates, it can cause dementia and loss of coordination, often death within a year. In animal pioneering diseases ‘’ crazy cow disease ‘’In cattle, ‘’scrap ‘’ in lamb, and ‘’ chronic wasting disease ‘’ in deer. Although not easily spread in humans, eating infected meat can be risky. Currently there is no cure, but scientists are doing research on ways to prevent and treat these diseases in future.
