Psychology: Psychology is a scientific study of mind and behavior. It studies how people think, feel, and act, and how these are influenced by the brain, society, and environment. Psychology involves conscious as well as unconscious thoughts and feelings. Psychology has much to do with every field from human development, health, and sports, mental illness, and social behavior.
Major Branches of Psychology are:
- Abnormal Psychology
- Behavioral Psychology
- Biopsychology
- Clinical Psychology
- Cognitive Psychology
- Comparative Psychology
- Counseling Psychology.
Cell Biology :
Cell biology is the study of cell structure and function, the foundation of life. It tells us about the functioning, development, and interaction of cells with each other to form tissues and organisms. It also involves the study of simple (prokaryotic) and complex (eukaryotic) cells and phenomena like metabolism, communication, and cell division. Scientists use tools like the microscope and cell culture to study cells.
Branches of Cell Biology are:
Cytotaxonomy
Cytogenetics
Cell Physiology
Cytochemistry
Cytopathology.
Molecular Biology :
Molecular biology is the study of how cells work at the molecular level, specifically how DNA, RNA, and proteins interact. It explains how genetic data is coded into proteins, which control cell functions. This science tells us about life working inside cells and plays an important role in medicine and genetics.
Subdisciplines of Molecular Biology are:
Comparative Genomics, DNA Forensics, Functional Genomics, Gene Therapy, Genomics, Molecular Genetics, Pharmacogenomics, and Proteomics.
