Recent Developments in Neuro-Ophthalmology examine neurology and ophthalmic intersections, focusing on innovative clinical and therapeutic breakthroughs. State -of -the -art imaging techniques such as CT, MRI, EEG, and OCT now increase early detection and monitoring of diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, choroidal neovascularization, and optic neuritis. Treatment includes minimal invasive surgery in advances, such as laser and transscleral technology, as well as emerging options such as stem cell therapy, gene therapy, retinal transplantation and gene editing. This session also emphasizes how technological progress is changing clinical care by enabling more accurate diagnosis, targeted intervention and better results. By bridging laboratory research and patient treatment, the session highlights how these novel approaches are re-shaping strategies to preserve or restore vision in neuro-ophthalmic disorders, eventually improving the quality of life.
