Stem Cells Role in Neuro-Biological Treatment
Stem cells are special cells that can develop in various types of cells in the body including brain cells. In neurobiological treatment, the stem cell -especially nerve stem cell (NSCS) – is used to help repair damaged brain or nerve tissue after injury or disease. They support healing by changing lost cells and releasing supporting factors. Scientists can also improve their treatment capacity using gene therapy. Various types of stem cells include totipotent, pluripotent, multipotent, Olligopotent and unipotent stem cells, each of which are accompanied by different levels of flexibility in forming other cell types.
